PLEASE NOTE: since the pandemic, a 24-hour period (either before or after a reservation) for cleaning and preparation is maintained, and no same-day booking or walk-ins.

There are three private rooms available in this 100-plus-year-old historic home (equipped with modern amenities and little touches not normally provided by other local lodging facilities). The location is positioned on a bricked, maple tree-lined street. You will be greeted at the door by a human. The hostess (Cat) lives on site with her small dog, Oli, the backup doorbell, will greet you with the sound of his people, usually after the sound of the first doorbell ("Ring" video device) chime then scampering to his protective security base of operations underneath the hostess's bed for the duration of your stay. He only barks at your first arrival, go figure? In the event Cat is out of town, she has handpicked a co-host who usually outdoes her with his breakfasts and wows everyone!
rooms2stay (in business for over 8 years) is an ideal short-term stay for overnight business travelers, visiting college parents, or visiting professors/guest speakers. Need extra space for visiting family members' accommodations? Look no further! It's also a great location for weddings (did someone say accommodation for the bridal party?) and BU graduation guests. rooms2stay is not suited as a honeymoon locale or for bachelor parties. This home is authorized and meets safety requirements by the city. rooms2stay is not handicap accessible, nor suitable for children and no pets, please. This is a smoke-free environment.
Breakfast is included in the price. If you want to invite friends over for breakfast there is a small fee for non-staying guests. Be sure to ask Cat, who in concierge-style, can put together some " guest experiences" should you have some extra time to spare during your stay.
...is a rural experience that includes a small step back in time into a quaint, bricked street, one traffic light, bedroom community. Baldwin City located in the NE region of Kansas is bucolic in its fertile farmlands experiencing in the four seasons, colorful trees (yes trees in KS!), and natural peace. Situated 20 miles from Lawrence and Ottawa (locales for Kansas University and Ottawa University), Baldwin City is approximately a 1-hour drive south of Kansas City MCI airport and 40 minutes from K-City for that bigger urban fix.
But don't underestimate the rural beat of the country where you can still hear church bells and echoes of train horns! Baldwin City is home to the main campus of Baker University, the oldest private university in the state. This place has something for everyone: a vibrant rural agricultural community (AgEco) with a bounty of offerings and fun unique activities, local sporting events, live music venues, history (re-enactments) to explore, vineyards, area-secret-treasures that are off the beaten path for discovering. Just a block away from room2stay is a unique bookstore/coffee spot/and bar (The Nook) with an outdoor patio to leisurely enjoy and mom-and-pop restaurants. The Lumberyard Arts Center always has local fun going ons and there's Sullivan Park, an inner-city park (with a stage) that boasts outdoor happenings. And then, of course, there is the city's signature annual event: Baldwin City's annual Maple Leaf Festival in October which is a highlight!
